Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons coconut sugar may use granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon whole wheat flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 square dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon creamy nut butter optional

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. This temperature is key to ensuring that your cake bakes perfectly and achieves that sought-after molten center.
  • Grease an 8-ounce ramekin with cooking spray. This will prevent the cake from sticking to the sides and ensure a smooth release.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together the butter and dark chocolate for about 15 to 30 seconds, stirring until melted and smooth. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
  • Add the egg, vanilla, and coconut sugar to the melted mixture. Stir until well combined. The mixture should be glossy and uniform.
  • Now, gently fold in the whole wheat flour and salt. Don't overmix; you want just enough to incorporate the flour.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared ramekin. Fill it about halfway, making sure it's evenly distributed.
