Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Oven
  • Chef's Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces tuna packed in water and drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup frozen vegetables
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 packages crescent rolls

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix all the ingredients together except for the crescent sheets. Spray non-stick spray in a line in a 13x9 baking pan and place the first sheet of crescent roll on top.
  • Spread tuna mixture on to the first sheet of crescent roll then top with a second crescent sheet. Press the sheets together so it will look like one continuous sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (about 25 minutes). I usually top this casserole with some cheese.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
  • Tip 2: This casserole can be frozen before baking. Just cover it tightly and store for up to two months. When ready to eat, thaw in the fridge overnight and bake as directed.
  • Tip 3: Serve this casserole with a light side salad or some roasted vegetables for a balanced meal. It’s also great with a dollop of sour cream or a drizzle of your favorite dressing.
  • Tip 4: Try adding different proteins like shredded chicken or even a mix of seafood for a twist on the classic recipe.
  • Tip 5: Experiment with various herbs like dill, parsley, or thyme to elevate the flavors even further.
