Notes

  • Tip 1: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently on the stove to maintain texture.
  • Tip 2: You can freeze the cooked broccoli, but it’s best enjoyed fresh. If you do freeze it, ensure it’s in a sealed bag and consume within three months.
  • Tip 3: This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, quinoa, or noodles. Consider serving it alongside grilled chicken or tofu for a complete meal.
  • Tip 4: Add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for added color and crunch. You can also include proteins like chickpeas for a more filling dish.
  • Tip 5: If you prefer a milder taste, skip the red pepper flakes entirely, or use a pinch to start.
  • Tip 6: Feel free to incorporate seasonal vegetables for a unique twist, such as asparagus in spring or squash in autumn.
