  • Skillet

  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ pound fresh green beans
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley flakes
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Trim the ends off of the green beans, if desired.
  • Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add green beans, garlic salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 7 to 9 minutes, or until tender.

Notes

  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently to maintain texture.
  • Freezing: You can freeze sautéed green beans, but for best results, blanch them first before cooking. This helps preserve their color and flavor.
  • Pairing: Sauteed Green Beans pair wonderfully with grilled meats and roasted vegetables. They’re also a great addition to stir-fries.
  • Variations: Try adding toasted almonds or sesame seeds for a crunchy texture. Lemon zest can also brighten up the flavors beautifully.
  • Make it a Meal: Incorporate sautéed green beans into a grain bowl with quinoa, chickpeas, and your choice of protein for a complete meal.
