Ingredients
  

  • 8 large Eggs
  • ½ cup Milk Room temperature for best results.
  • 20 ounces Diced hash browns Frozen, thawed before use.
  • 9-10 ounces Precooked Italian sausage Use precooked for convenience.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
  • cups Shredded mild cheddar cheese Divided for topping.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, hash browns, sausage, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 32 to 35 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and add the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  • Place the casserole back in the oven and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Once finished, allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Tip 1: We either use precooked sausage or cook raw sausage and drain the grease.
  • Tip 2: This recipe easily accommodates jalapenos, spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, and other veggies.
  • Tip 3: To use fresh potatoes, peel, dice, and boil for about 8 minutes before mixing into the recipe.
