- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped kalamata olives
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste ground black pepper
- 1 serving buns or pita bread for serving
- 1 serving chopped lettuce and tomato for serving
- 1 serving hummus for serving
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, crumbled feta cheese, chopped kalamata olives, and the dried herbs. Mix until well combined.
Season with onion powder, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Mix together thoroughly.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties.
Preheat your grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates. Grill patties for about five to seven minutes on each side until cooked.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the patties reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes to retain juices.
Toast buns or pita on the grill for a minute and then assemble your burgers.
Top with lettuce, tomato, and hummus as desired.
- Tip 1: This recipe is naturally gluten-free (as long as your olives and hummus are GF).
- Tip 2: Be sure to serve without the bun or with a GF bun if you need it to be totally gluten-free.
