Equipment

  • Chef's Knife
  • Skillet
  • Whisk
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk any kind of milk will work
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups brioche, french or sandwich bread cut into 2 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • 16 strawberries stems removed
  • 16 grapes
  • 2 bananas sliced into 1/2 inch coins
  • 8 wooden skewers

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 2 large eggs, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Make sure everything is well combined, and the mixture is smooth.
  • Take your 4 cups of brioche bread, cut into 2-inch cubes, and carefully dip each cube into the milk mixture. Ensure they're well-coated but not overly soggy.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter or oil. Allow the butter to melt completely and start to foam slightly.
  • Once the skillet is ready, place the soaked bread cubes in the skillet. Cook each side for about 1 and a half minutes or until they're golden brown and slightly crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
  • While the bread is cooking, prepare your 16 strawberries (stems removed), 16 grapes, and 2 bananas (sliced into half-inch coins).
  • Once the bread is perfectly cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it cool slightly.
  • Now, take your wooden skewers and thread the cooked bread cubes onto them, alternating with pieces of strawberries, bananas, and grapes. This not only looks great but makes it fun to eat!
  • Serve your French Toast on a Stick with a side of maple syrup for dipping. Enjoy the delightful flavors and the smiles around the table!
