Equipment

  • Instant Pot

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. chicken wings
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 c. water
  • for garnish white sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Season wings with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Place a metal trivet inside a pressure cooker and add one cup of water.
  • Arrange the wings, so they are squarely on the trivet before securing the cover.
  • Turn the on-top vent to seal and set the dial to "Manual" for 8 minutes.

Notes

  • Storage: Store any leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They should stay fresh for up to three days. Reheat in an oven to retain crispiness.
  • Freezing: You can freeze the cooked wings for up to three months. Make sure they are fully cooled before placing them in freezer-safe bags.
  • Pairing: These wings pair perfectly with fresh veggie sticks for crunch or a creamy dipping sauce to balance the flavors. Think ranch or a garlic aioli.
  • Adjust sweetness: If you prefer your wings a little sweeter, you can drizzle extra fermented honey on top after cooking for a sticky finish.
  • Make them spicy: For a heat kick, consider adding cayenne pepper or hot sauce to your seasoning mix before cooking. This adds a lovely contrast to the sweet and savory.
