Ingredients
  

  • 1 box cake mix Choose any flavor that tickles your fancy.
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip Thawed for use in the recipe.
  • 1 large egg Binds the ingredients together.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For coating before baking.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While it’s heating up, take two baking sheets and line them with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the 1 (15.25-ounce) box cake mix, 8 ounces Cool Whip, and 1 large egg. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, mix until everything is fully combined.
  • Once the mixture is well combined, take about 2 tablespoons of dough and scoop it out into a medium bowl filled with 1 cup powdered sugar. Carefully cover the dough with the sugar until it’s fully coated.
  • Transfer the coated dough to the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until you see the cookies have cracked on top and the centers appear just barely matte.
  • After baking, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Once cooled slightly, carefully transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
