Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 3/4 cups Hot Water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Whisk them together until they are well combined.
  • Stir in milk and vegetable oil. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and the remaining cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
  • Carefully pour hot water over the top of the entire dish.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Remove the cobbler from the oven and let it sit for about 20 minutes.
  • Serve warm, ideally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
