Add the olive oil and butter to a skillet and heat over high heat. Let the fats melt together until they shimmer in the pan, signaling that they are hot enough for cooking.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, arranging them in a single layer. You want them to cook evenly, so give them space. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper generously.
Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes until they turn pink, golden, and crispy on one side. You'll see them get opaque as they cook.
Flip the shrimp over gently, searing the other side for about 2 minutes. Again, season this side with salt and pepper. The shrimp should be fully cooked through and have a beautiful golden color.
Add the garlic, chili peppers, and parsley to the skillet. Stir everything together, making sure the shrimp are coated in the aromatic mix.
Continue to cook for another 30 seconds, just until the garlic becomes aromatic. Be careful not to overcook the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
Once ready, remove the skillet from the heat and serve the shrimp warm. They can be enjoyed on their own, over rice, or with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
