Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 12 pieces frozen popcorn chicken (may need a few more pieces if they are small)
  • 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
  • 3/4 cup buffalo wing sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. This step is crucial as it ensures your cupcakes bake evenly and reach that golden-brown color we all love.
  • Take your muffin pan and spray it with cooking spray. This will prevent the cupcakes from sticking, allowing for a perfect release.
  • Now, remove the dough from the can. Gently press the seams together to ensure a nice, solid base. Then, roll it out into an 8×18 inch rectangle. The goal here is to have a nice, flat surface to cut your squares from.
  • Next, cut that rectangle into 12 evenly sized squares. These will fit perfectly into your muffin pan cups, creating the perfect vessel for your filling.
  • Press each square of dough firmly into the muffin cups, making sure it’s snug and covers the bottom and sides. This will create a little pocket for all the delicious filling.
  • Now it’s time to add that delicious cheddar cheese. Place about 1 tablespoon in the bottom of each muffin cup. This cheesy layer is going to melt beautifully.
  • Take your frozen popcorn chicken and dunk each piece in the buffalo wing sauce. Make sure each piece is well-coated; this is where the flavor really starts to develop!
  • Carefully place the sauced chicken pieces on top of the cheese. You want to ensure they’re evenly distributed for perfect flavor in every bite.
  • Now, top each piece of chicken with 2 teaspoons of Ranch dressing. This adds a creamy contrast to the heat of the buffalo sauce.
  • Finally, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the chicken and Ranch dressing. This will create a beautiful, gooey top when baked.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes. You’ll know they’re done when they’re golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. Keep an eye on them towards the end!
  • Once baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. This will help them set and make them easier to remove from the pan.
