Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Cutting Board
  • Kitchen Knife

Ingredients

  • 4 tails Lobster Tails Thawed, 6 ounces each
  • 0.5 cup Butter 1 stick
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Fresh
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley Fresh minced, plus more for garnish
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Fresh chopped parsley For garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven broiler and move the oven rack about 6 to 8 inches below the broiler.
  • In a small bowl melt butter. Remove from heat and add the garlic, lemon juice, and parsley. Reserve 1/2 of the mixture for dipping.
  • Place lobster tails on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish. Using kitchen shears, cut down the shell to the fin. Using your fingers, gently pry the meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base of the tail. Lift the meat so it is resting on top of the split shell.
  • Season with salt and pepper and brush the garlic butter sauce over the top of the lobster tails.
  • Broil for 10 minutes, brushing with the garlic butter halfway through, until cooked through. The lobster tails should be white opaque and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Garnish with more parsley if desired and serve with remaining butter for dipping.

Notes

  • Storage: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’re best enjoyed within two days to maintain freshness.
  • Freezing: You can freeze the lobster tails before cooking. Just be sure to thaw them in the refrigerator overnight before preparing.
  • Pairing: Serve with a light salad or roasted asparagus for a complete meal. Garlic bread also makes a great side!
  • Garnishing: Fresh herbs like chives or dill can be wonderful additions as garnishes, giving an extra layer of flavor.
  • Serving Temperature: Always serve lobster tails hot for the best flavor. The garlic butter enhances the experience when warm.
  • Meals for Two: This recipe can easily be halved for a romantic dinner for two or doubled for a larger gathering.
