Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Oven
  • Chef's Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats or gluten-free oats
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup creamy almond butter
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped almonds, ground flaxseed, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir until the ingredients are well mixed, ensuring each oats gets the cinnamon and salt evenly.
  • In another medium microwave-safe bowl, combine creamy almond butter, pure maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Microwave this mixture for about 30 seconds.
  • Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir the mixture until smooth and combined.
  • Pour this creamy mixture over the oat mixture and stir well.
  • Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat.
  • Spread the granola mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the granola in the preheated oven for 24 to 30 minutes. Stir it once halfway through.
  • Once baked, remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Once cooled, store the granola in an airtight container.
